Expert Advice For Your Startup

In November of last year, we hosted a Fintech Party during the week of Web Summit in our new offices in Ballsbridge, Dublin. It was a great opportunity to show off the new spot, but the clear highlight of the event was Jarlath Regan's excellent chat with the foreseer of all things economic, David McWilliams, for his Irishman Abroad podcast series (which you can listen to here).

If that wasn't enough WOW for you, we also asked some of the entrepreneurs and startup folk in attendance for some advice on the trials and tribulations of getting a business up and running in Dublin, or anywhere else for that matter.

First up with advice was Peter Misek, chairman and co-founder of Soundpays, followed by Emmet Ryan of the Sunday Business Post who explained why being preoccupied with exiting from the start is not a great idea. Next was the equally impressively-bearded Kevin Olsen of Pivotal Labs, with Nikolai Vasilev of Tickey.me offering his thoughts on finding the balance between securing investment and finalising your product.

Thanks to all who contributed, and we hope to see you at the next CurrencyFair Fintech Party!
